Looking for some MBA scholarships to help pay for your MBA? The cost of an MBA education keeps rising and some universities charge over $60,000 per year for tuition. The median cost of an MBA from a top 25 school is over $170,000 and can be over $200,000 at some schools.

The good news is that students can offset some or all of the cost of getting an MBA by receiving scholarships. Some universities offer scholarships to attract top candidates to their programs and many other third parties donate scholarship money to students as well.

Here are 10 college scholarships for graduate students that you can apply for right now.

Apply for These MBA Scholarships 

AKA Educational Advancement Foundation Scholarship

The AKA Educational Advancement Foundation provides scholarships based on merit and financial need. To be eligible, you must be a full-time student with a 2.5 minimum GPA who has demonstrated involvement in community service.

AICP Scholarship Program

The AICP Scholarship program offers three scholarships for the amount of $1,500 to students in an insurance or business related field. Students must have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA at the time of application.

Consortium Fellowship

Black, Native American and Latino students may want to consider applying for the Consortium Fellowship, which can provide full tuition assistance. The goal of the Consortium is to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in graduate-level programs.

Forte Fellows Program

The Forte Fellows Program’s goal is to increase the number of women enrolled in MBA programs. To qualify, you must be a full-time student at a participating school. Aside from scholarship funding, winners also receive other benefits including networking opportunities and access to the Forte community online.

Francis X Crowley Scholarship

The Francis X Crowley Scholarship is available to students pursuing an education in civil engineering or business management. New England Water Works also provides other scholarships for students that reside in or attend a college in the New England area.

Kaplan Group Annual Scholarship

The Kaplan Group offers a $1,000 scholarship to students pursuing law or business degree. The application requires answering a few essay questions.

You Deserve It Scholarship by Scholarship Owl

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans

If you are an immigrant or a child of an immigrant, then you may be qualified for this scholarship. Each year, 30 students will be receiving funding from this organization and get up to $90,000 in funding for their education.

Jane M Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

Female MBA students may want to consider applying for this scholarship, which can fund up to $8,000 towards your tuition. Zonta International offers 32 scholarships ranging from $2,000-$8,000 and seeks to encourage women to pursue a career in business.

Post 9/11 GI Bill

If you are a qualified veteran who served in the U.S. military, then you might be eligible for this scholarship. Military leadership experience is valuable and often translates into business success after college. Some MBA programs can waive up to 80-100% of your tuition through this program.

Ask your school about scholarships – Many colleges and universities have their own scholarship programs. They may also have access to resources and a list of other scholarships that might help you.

Apply for both small and big scholarships  Big scholarships can cover your entire tuition, but these scholarships are usually more competitive and difficult to attain. Some students have successfully funded their entire tuition by winning multiple scholarships for smaller amounts. Apply to both big and small scholarships to maximize your chances of getting funding.

Look for niche scholarships – Some scholarships target people in specific niches. If you are a minority, you may find scholarships that are specifically for people of your ethnicity. Other scholarships might be available based on your chosen field of study, religion, location, veteran status or other factors. You can use scholarship databases like College Board to help search for scholarships.
